For those who dream of the power of the new super fast G5 processor, but also dream about affording the sometimes monstrous price tag, then this little system could be the answer. Combining the outright speed and flexibility of the new G5 processor, this time rated at a respectable 1.8Ghz, and including lower spec memory and hard drive items, the price has fallen accordingly. You still get 512MB of SDRAM and an 80GB hard drive all hidden behind the excellent 17" flat panel screen, so the PowerPC is no slouch, but users who really need the G5 power, may find that these other components will need to be upgraded relatively soon, making the outright saving negligible.
