Gigabyte GA-7NNXP Motherboard

Newbie Review by Mary the Motherboard Newbie Product Reviewer:

The 7NNXP is not a board to be taken lightly - it has a feature list and performance that just about any PC user today would have to take their hat off to. But then wot else can you expect from one of the biggest motherboard manufacturers around? Or if you're simply someone who spends everything they have on serious computer hardware, then this motherboard is for you as well. Not only does the 7NNXP have lots of features, but they are all par excellence. One of the most useful features on the board is provided by the GigaRAID chip. This provides IDE RAID for ATA133 via two additional IDE ports situated near this corner of the board. As per the SATA RAID described above, IDE RAID level 0 and 1 are supported, and also 0+1 arrays, along with JBOD and Scatter/Gather functions support. Also, the GigaRAID chip adds hot plug support to the system, which is quite a handy thing to have.

Cons:

Faulty capacitor on the SOUTH-EAST corner of the board
