The optical technology that comes with this mouse is an absolute lifesaver for those who hate regular maintenance. There is no mouse ball due to the optical sensor, therefore there is nothing to collect dust and dirt, therefore eliminating the need for regular cleaning. The technology also gives great performance. In fact, I found that the accuracy of this mouse is very good compared to other similar products out there. I also liked the look of this mouse - a two-tone silver and blue finish with a fun red glow that is fairly common in the Microsoft family. For functionablity there are two buttons and a scroll wheel, although it does seem that the buttons are a little noisy.
