The Belkin Wireless Base Unit is typically used by individuals who already have a network at home or work in place... and want to add wireless ability. In short, those that do not have a network of any type at home or the office should consider buying the Belkin Wireless Router instead of this unit. An integrated, 3-port 10/100Base-Tx Ethernet switch also allows you to connect wired computers to the network. Great product so don't miss out on all the benefits it has to offer.
