An excellent price and fresh, modern design makes this Dell machine stand out from the rest, but some other machines do a similar price range with a far greater specification. Dell may have to rely on their good reputation and after-sales service. The system is driven by an Intel Celeron 2.4Ghz processor and assisted by 256MB of SDRAM and a lowly 40GB hard drive. There is also a CD-ROM drive, floppy disc drive and a sprinkling of ports and bays for upgrades in the future. The thing is, although the price is great for a PC, if you are a home user, could you really live without a DVD drive, CD-RW or a sizable hard drive?
