A fresh, modern design and the packaged 17" monitor makes this Dell machine stand out from the rest, but some other machines have a greater specification at a better price. Dell may have to rely on their good reputation and after-sales service for this to be a big seller outside the office network usage. The system is driven by an Intel Celeron 2.8Ghz processor and assisted by 256MB of SDRAM and a lowly 40GB hard drive. There is also a DVD drive, floppy disc drive and a sprinkling of ports and bays for upgrades in the future. The thing is, although the price is great for a PC, if you are a home user, could you really live without a CD-RW or a sizable hard drive?
